High Speed Traffic Management – 12A/B & C
Safer Roadworks offers traffic management systems for high-speed works, providing safe working environments for all situations. We provide support from the planning and design of the works, technical advice, authority liaison, through to the compliant and quality-based delivery of traffic management systems.
We provide all traffic management covering:
- The installing, maintaining, and removing of static temporary traffic management on motorways and high-speed dual carriageways for schemes incorporating contraflows and /or temporary road markings in accordance with NHSS 12A.
- The installing, maintaining, and removing of static temporary traffic management on motorways and high-speed dual carriageways for schemes not incorporating contraflows and /or temporary road markings in accordance with NHSS 12B
- The establishing and removal of mobile lane closure traffic management on motorways and other dual carriageways with hard shoulders and without hard shoulders in accordance with NHSS 12C
Any works that are supplied by Safer Roadworks are supported by our in-depth systems and processes which incorporate site specific CAD drawings and plans, along with risk assessments and method statements that ensure the mitigation and reduction of incursions, increased safety, and cost minimisation.
All high-speed works are managed by one of our contracts managers which have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the delivery of high-speed traffic management, Safer Roadworks conducts on-site quality audits to ensure the maintain consistent quality excellence.
All high-speed traffic management solutions can be tailored and designed to meet every type of requirement and may include:
- Road Closures and Diversions
- Mobile Lane Closures
- Static or Temporary Lane Closures
- Contraflows / Tidal Flows
- Narrow Lane Systems
- Made to order special legend signage, made in house with our sign making facilities
- Hire of variable matrix signs (VMS)

Low-Speed Traffic Management – 12D
Safer Roadworks provides effective traffic and pedestrian management systems on urban and rural roads, ensuring that essential works can take place without compromising on safety, as well as keeping disruption to a minimum, helping to create a safe environment for workers and members of the public.
We offer a national service provide support from the planning and design of the works, technical advice, authority liaison, through to the compliant and quality-based delivery of traffic management systems.
We provide all traffic management covering:
- The installing, maintaining and removing of temporary traffic management on rural and urban roads – moving works and short duration works, static works, dual carriageway works <50 mph, convoy works, multi-phase traffic signals in accordance with NHSS 12D.
